The final race of the iGP LIGA series, season 3 provided much excitement with the three top teams all opting for different strategies. Raven, having recently got a new sponsor in LooksLikeGoodDesign.com, had wrapped up the constructors championship some races ago, and the drivers championship was also certain to go to the team, yet it wasn't certain which driver would take it, as Belgian Lemaire was leading Argentinian Faye by just 9 points.

In qualifying, it was Antsyforov for Drago getting his fifth pole of the season, ahead of Raven's Faye, Drago's new driver McDonald and championship leader Lemaire. The race saw the two Drago and Raven cars building a small lead, as they where on the soft tyres, compared to the rest on hard. The main challenge seemed to come from Fat Daddy, who's cars where running on a hard-hard strategy.

Antsyforov seemed to have the best pace and Faye had to use kers to keep up, hoping and suspecting the Drago cars where just a bit lighter on fuel. It turned out they where, but only by one lap. While Antsyforov fitted new soft tyres, Faye pushed and pitted for hard tyres, as her final pitstop. She came out of the pits just ahead of Antsyforov, but on softs, Antsyforov passed her easily.

So Drago and Raven had made their pitstops, to which Richter for Fat Daddy took the lead, until he made his final pitstop a few laps later. He pitted for hard tyres like the Raven cars, and rejoined just behind Faye.

Meanwhile, Antsyforov was back in the lead and pulling away a second a lap, yet he still had to make a final pitstop for fuel and tyres, in his soft-soft-soft strategy (compared to Raven's soft-hard strategy).

Further to the back of the field Lemaire was tussling with Rumiantsev from Pop Kite and Rodallega from Fat Daddy for the 4th place. Rumiantsev seemed to overheat his tyres, but was just a bit ahead of the two, while Rodallega had more kers, which he used to pass Lemaire. The Belgian's drive had some similarities to Alonso's in the 2010 Abu Dhabi race, seemingly unable to get into the point scoring position he needed.

In front, it was Antsyforov who made his pitstop for the second and final time, and got out just ahead of Faye, and then pulled away to win with a 2 second lead and end Raven's win-streak of 11 consecutive races and end the season on a high. Faye finished 2nd, setting the fastest lap in the final lap, ahead of Richter. Rumiantsev somehow continued on overheated tyres to finish 4th, ahead of Rodallega and Lemaire, who now lost the title to his teammate Faye by one point.

Drago and Raven will now leave the league, looking for a new challenge, though it'll be interesting to see how the league will develop without the two, who finished 1-2 in the last three seasons.
