Hi everyone. I was looking for some drivers to hire and I stumbled upon these "guys":

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team-driver/211604
http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team-driver/157003
http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team-driver/170746

Although "Ana" and "Lola" are female names, the game recognizes them as men, so it's kind of confusing and maybe annoying (I personally wouldn't hire any of them just because of that, regardless their skills, lol); that's why I ask the developers to correct this issue, so this "I'm-not-sure-which-sex-I-am" situations can be avoided in the future.

Thanks in advance for your attention :)

I had someone named Maraget Homosexual Goat and he's male. Looks like he can be gay. And there could be lesbians on this game. :L

Julio, Anna or Ana is quite common in Scandanavia for a mans name. I am not familiar with Lola, but Lol is a mans name too

I didn't know that fact. However, here in South America (and keeping in mind that the aforementioned drivers are from Argentina as well) such names are exclusively female in the western side of the globe (what a complex world this is, lol); that's why I suggested the change. Anyway, thank you for your answering.

Sorry, but I have never heard any man with that name here in Norway. Anna is strictly a man's name here.

Basically you have the same kind of issue with the Icelandic surnames with dottir and son at the end. :)

Two examples from many: Valdimar Arnardottir which says it's a daughter from Arnar while he is male and same with Sóldís Gudmunsson which says it's a son of Gudmuns while she's female.

Those kind of things are probably more complicated because you can't just use one list of surnames for both sexes when they're from Iceland.

I was doing a names list for Switzerland and Uruguay, and I came across atleast a few unisex names for both countries. I didn't include them though to save this dilemma haha.

Just pointing out some of them are out there though.

Thanks for pointing out the dottir and son anomolies as well Tjerk.  I forgot about that!
I assume other countries might well have similar gender differences.

Thank goodness we don't have Gaelic surnames or there would be no end of problems.

They can be common in Scandanavia for mens, but they are from Argentina, and in Argentina they are woman names.
The same with Julio, its ok for man, but not Julia, Julia is woman name.

Dont think about your contry or another country, think about the current country, and Anna/Lola are woman names in Argentina.

OMG...Names that are unisex in different countries...Andrea (M in Italian, the rest are F), Nicola (also M in Italian), Mika (M in Finland, F in Japan), Lauri (also Finland M, F in some cases), Leigh (usually M, F in USA) and all those stuffs too...

That driver NEEDS to be deleted from the System ASAP and who ever changed that should be banned from the game !!!!!

How SICK is that person to change it to a child murderers name??? What kind of person finds that funny???

Those kind of things are probably more complicated because you can't just use one list of surnames for both sexes when they're from Iceland.

I found out that Iceland's people are called in patronymic names, as in this example:

Hmm, so now it's clear why we have a mess in iGP with Icelandic surnames. I guess.

Yep the above is correct Michal - I am not sure just how strict this is nowadays but I wouldn't want to mess with cultural boundries.

Also in Scottish Gaelic you will have:-  Tearlach MacAnndra (male - Charles Anderson) BUT female - Tearlag NicAnndra (female - Charlotte Anderson)  but in real Gaelic it would be similar to the scandinavian system, so very confusing.

There will be other cultures with somethingf similar.
