I never seen this thing working properly and the only thing this do
is create a lucky based race. Ruins the championship with that
"start/stop" rain in the race. The Championship should be decided with the
manager skill, not with a random start/stop rain. Last race has one
with 3.3mm, i pit and kept the W, then before the first lap was complete,
rain stopped and who stretched the stint for 1+ laps was "blessed". It
discourages playing, everything you do in other races goes down the
drain with this random rain. There is no sign of when the rain will stop or
start, it is totally dark, how can this be any good or fun or competitive???
There should be an option to disable the rain on a league, even a full
rain race can be unfair because the qualification with equal point cars, players that
are fighting for the title are placed far from each other, one at p1
and the other at p15 for example. There's nothing fair about it.
I'm really considering stopping playing because of that, it's too unfair.

What about in-game weather forecast? Whit it, we can keep reality weather and we could see when will rain start or stop

There was a poll regarding the augmented weather not too long ago, which showed a majority of the players, in quite a sizable poll, preferred real weather vs generated weather.

Move to In-House weather system?

But the proviso in the poll was if it is made more reliable and IMO the current weather provider is anything but reliable.

A decent weather forecast (a bit like the old game) would also make a huge difference. I'm not interested in the forecast for the next seven days, during the race I want a weather forecast for the next five or ten minutes with a % chance of rain / stop raining.

It's interesting that of all the people who play this game we appear to have two diametrically opposing views, one group wants all manner of random events added to the game, the other group wants existing random events (qualifying, weather, non attending teams, flags & Safety Cars) removed from the game.

Yes, something like: "for the next 7 laps the rain will continue", "the rain stops in 7 laps", "the rain starts in 7 laps". That way we could sacrifice a few laps with wrong tyre to avoid a desnecessary and unfair pit.

Those who do not want random things are the competitive ones, who likes the game, the other, most of them plays by inertia, they have no interest in learning or improving anything in the game.

I dislike the VSC and but I am happy with the weather.  In my experience it is certainly alot better than previous... as in you wont qual at 4.0mm and log in and find it bone dry.

The % of rain is available.. but like in real life it is hard to predict and it can say 80% rain and not rain.  It is realistic!
