Australian Championship - Rookie - Brazil - Taylor won in a rain-hit Sao Paulo race

A very unexpected win for Liam Taylor, an AEPRE Racing Unlimited driver (my team) in today's race in Brazil. This is the team's first win and also first time for the 22-year old American driver too.

NJ Racing's Manuel Manuel and Paulo Ismael, the Brazilian duos managed to got a front-row lock up with the time of 1:12.888 and 1:13.469 respectively. At lap 5, the rain starts to get into an action with all teams except Racing Unlimited who switches to the inters, while Unlimited choose to go on full wets.

From the 9th and 11th for Taylor and Nils Vettel, his teammate, both of them managed to gain some decent positions and finally took the lead in the lap 25, where they have overtaken Manuel out of their way, as Vettel clinches 5th. Then he gained 2nd place in the lap 35. Until rain stops in the lap 50, most of the teams switched to hard tyres, Racing Unlimited switches to soft for their 3 laps remaining, as NJ stays on the intermediates. NJ's Ismael sets the fastest pace of the race on lap 52 and 53, however that is not enough for the comeback and we won the first race in the season and the team's history.
