Partly repairing car

Why can't you partly repair a car with the parts you have rather then having to have all the parts? Its not like in real life a mechanic would go "the brakes and suspension need repair and we have the brake parts but not the suspension parts so we won't repair anything, I am sure the car won't break on the track...."

that means they need to break the parts down into specific parts, that means they need to code in each individual part on your car for wear and then code in those parts to buy or earn.

way too much work for any benefit over what we have now.

we need more set up options first, more options is more strategy and more fun rather than everyone running the exact same strategy and it being about who is the highest level till you reach lvl 20 then its even worse,lol

I don't mean we have to break it down to specifics, just if I have 12 parts and the car needs 15 parts to repair it, it would be nice if I could use the parts to repair the car at least partially... Rather then just getting more parts, but not enough to fix it until it gets to the stage where the car retires in the race and doesn't get any worse...

I've suggested this before. The simplest way to do it is to have the possibility of repairing your car by 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%.
It doesn't need to be complicated and for a lot of people would mean being able to partially repair both cars instead of fully repairing 1 and leaving the other to rot
