Hello everybody.you never stop learning. my opponent drove in a quailification to a rain race (3.7mm) on soft. therefore his starting places were bad. somehow he managed to get his tires from soft to wet between qualifying and the start of the racechange without driving into the box. and now my question: "how does it work" ???
This feature has been available for some months now. I only play using the browser so someone else will need to explain how it works in the App.
In the browser race viewer, if it is raining (or has stopped raining but the circuit remains wet) you can change the tyres and fuel for the first stint using the driver control panel bottom left (also bottom right for a 2 car team).
WARNING:
If it was raining in qualifying but has now stopped the only dry compound tyre available to you is the one you selected in the main strategy stint 1. So be careful, if you selected a wet type tyre in your main strategy you will not have the option to switch to a dry compound on the grid.

okay we go step by step. Quali Soft. Starting place bad. it goes online 3 minutes before the Race start ... ... but what do you do then? where do I press and what do I press ?
If the app you can either use the driver control panel which is the way I do it...
Alternatively I think you can also do it by selecting stint 1 in the strategy control...
When you have navigated to the correct screen it is the same as modifying strategy "on the fly", click on the tyre you want to change to or use the + & - buttons to change fuel load.
EDIT: BTW, I believe that some users have recently reported a bug that prevents them from changing tyres on the grid. Sorry but I don't know if this bug has been patched by the devs or whether the fix is waiting for the next update.

Hi. I had to test that once today. wanted to switch from M to Soft. did not go. Pit now. I drive after Round 1 at the box.
Not quite sure what you mean, something probably lost in translation. If you're talking about changing tyres on the grid just before the race starts, it is not possible to change between the different compounds of dry tyre (Med to Soft).
You may only swap tyres when it is raining or has stopped raining between lock down and cars lining up on the grid.
The only dry compound available to you is the compound you selected in main strategy, stint 1.
If you select a wet compound in main strategy stint 1 you will not have a dry tyre available to switch to on the grid.
The tyres "lock" approx. 30 seconds before the start of the race. After this you lose the ability to make changes.
