Young drivers during upgrade

It has come to my attention that whilst upgrading Young drivers academy you cannot view those in it (don't lecture me that I don't need it yet, I'm producing drivers for my other teams). So if I have a talent 20 driver I want to promote but accidentally upgrade my facilitcy, I cannot promote him for 3 days as I only have enough tokens to speed it up OR promote him. You still get Dp when upgrading, why not young drivers?
