Aren’t you fed up of people boosting away before drs? Cost me so many times! I try but igp reacts too slow with my boost. Ruined several races, I mean some people can be ****ing idiots.

(Time of writing frustration is high)

Yeah, happens alot, people boosting away into distance just before detection point, kills off the fun sometimes

That’s racing... learn how to counteract it rather than crying about it. If you play your own tactics correctly, they only harm themselves and by the finish line, you should be back in front

I’m not crying, I try and boost after the but the game reacts slowly with my connection and my then it is too late. You can click it as much as you like, still takes a second or so before I can boost, by then another car is over 1s away! So no drs or better track position for me

Clear the cache in your settings and/or reinstall the app. This delay problem appears every now and again but it doesn’t seem related to poor connection.

I hear a lot of people getting upset around these tactics but the only time it is annoying is when you are trying to chase a car that’s ahead of the pack. Any other time, they are only harming themselves, with the correct tactics and patience you should be able to pass them easily before the end ?

Yes you can pass that car, meanwhile you might lose out to another 3 :) so it isn’t great

Don’t pass them, wait and slowly catch up again. Let them use there boost up staying ahead and strike near the end of the race as you should have better tyres and a lot more boost to use by then. You just need to be careful of the cars behind but you should all be able to catch the rouge booster together ?

I meant pass then by the end of the race, do you know how tight my leagues are in the race! Can’t afford errors like that

It’s all about timing... I’m rubbish at it! Our league is very tight too and I’m still learning after 400 races ?

They just don't want to admit they are much slower...

I am fed up though

It has nothing to do with game design. Lets assume that this delay is somehow coded in. This means that the car in front has a delay when his boost shows and you have. Lets remove delay. He will boost instantly and you will still be late because you react to him. If your boost has equal power then you will miss DRS regardless. You are reacting and expecting to catch up?

There is much bigger issue with DRS zone in general. There are some tracks where I constantly miss DRS because my eye test shows less than 1.0s difference but in actuality is not. Would be nice to have some better way to stay within 1 second difference but then it is not racing anymore. Enabling driver to automatically use KERS to stay in DRS zone, would not make racing as fun.
