Hi All,
Hope I'm posting this in the right area.
I have a CD I bought when I made lvl10, real money. If I change his Strength after 7 races, using tokens, does that count towards the 7 races you need to get the lvl 50 on that stat? Or does it reset as that CD now has a new strength?
I believe I can have the same CD & just keep changing his strength & at the start of next season I'll have the 3 50's, but if I'm wrong that's a big mistake to make.
Hope that makes sense :/

Hi Dean.

Each race this season your active CD contributes dp to next season design. This accumulates over the season so in theory you are correct. It's a pretty expensive way of doing it but it should work.

However, WARNING in your particular situation it may not work. You are currently competing in Pro and will most likely gain promotion to Elite at the end of the season. Since the updates, promoted teams no longer start with the same design points as the established teams in the higher tier. Unless you want to start the season at a disadvantage you will need to leave and re-join the league to reset to the correct starting design.

If you leave and re-join, only the current active CD will contribute to your start of season design, so all those tokens you used changing the strength of the CD in the previous season will have been wasted.

In any case, now that the Elite tier caps have been removed there isn't really a huge benefit using multiple CDs, or in your case a single CD with multiple strengths.

Everything Kevin said.

But I also want to add: don't do that.
Don't spend 50 tokens everytime just to change your CD strenght. You'd spend much less money and tokens buying different CDs. Also since you're not level 20, you're gonna keep leveling up for quite a long time and you'll always need to sell your CDs and buy new ones when you level up if you always want to be competitive. So what would happen when you'll need a higher level CD? You'll need to sell the current one after having spent hundreds of tokens to edit it multiple times? And then you'll do the same with the new CD?
Really, it's not worth it. I highly advise you not to do it. Just buy 2 or 3 different CDs if you always want to get a higher number of Design points from your researches on different skills. I honestly think it's cheaper this way.

👍🏼50token to change the strength only at 20th level, if the CD are good for 20th level than you can do it at 19th level! 😉

I'm really glad I asked the question now. I was told something different. The only reason I considered it was because I have a lvl 15 CD, while my lvl is only 10. I got to buy one at lvl 10.
I wasn't aware of the change for promoted Teams. Again, thanks for the info, both of you.
