XP points and ranking overhaul

First, I have a question to the admins and depending on the answer I have a suggestion for the XP points and ranking system. 

I understand that XP is given out depending on your results in relation to how your opponents are ranked. 
Does a 25%, a 50% and a 100% race give the same amount of XP? 


If so, I suggest that 50% races give managers 50% XP as they would have received if it had been a 100% league. You learn a lot more in a 100% race (I would guess about 100% more actually) than in a 50% race.


Also necessary is to remove tiers for leagues that doesn't want them. If a league only wants one division (like in real F1), then they shouldn't be forced to run as rookies with level 8 cap on everyone.

Not everyone can actually do 100% races for certain reasons like myself, im restricted to 50% length, so i would be massively against this idea.

Is it right that managers doing 50% of the race receive the same proportion of ranking points as managers doing 100% races?

You could argue that complexity will increase exponentially with distance.

I like the idea of giving hosts the control over the level cap.

If u do that then it would force all the top managers or managers that wanna be high in rankings to do 100% races and leave 50% races without any of the tops guys leaving them all as 2nd rate/3rd rate leagues.

Not really. People doing shorter races tend to do more of them, as John was so wonderfully informed in another thread recently. The only people losing out are those doing longer races currently.

Do people actually play for the sake of their rankings? Don't get me wrong, I see the point of rankings and I have nothing against them, but shouldn't the primary motivation for playing being for your own enjoyment rather than rankings?
