Race ID: 4360

Evidently the rain stopped around lap 48.  The only way to notice this was that the drivers absent pitted for softs and started to run fast sectors.  The weather icon continued to say rain for the rest of the race.  I tried restarting the applet and this had no effect.

Also, the time for the track to dry was pretty much zero.

I was in 2d for this race too.  My icon never changed either.  I turned off my weather strategy since I was managing the race live and got boned because I didn't know until a lap later that the track was dry.

Weather icon continued to state rain for the remainder of the race.  The only indication the track was dry was all the people pitting due to their preset weather strategy and the rapid wear rate on my rain tires.

Is this what the weather station is for?

No. Even without, the current weather should always be displayed correctly. The one wet race we had it started with light rain, changed to rain, back to light and then drizzling in the end

Do you have to reopen the weather window for it to update if you have the weather window open?

No you shouldn't have to reopen the weather window for the icon to update.  I'll look into this problem.
