Everytime I open another tab or window and then come back to the Live Race, the chatbox glitches and won't let me type. I then have to re-open the text box.
I've had this problem all the time and I'm sure everyone else has. It is extremly annoying, frustrating and wastes time.

This isnt really a problem. I have also done the same whilst my race has been live. If it doesnt let you type, all you have to do is to click onto where you type and it will type again. You dont have to re-open the text box. That is how I overcome it :). Hope I could help

I don't think we should need to do something before being able to type though.

You also don't need to use the chat box to type, a list of hotkeys can be found here:

T opens a box to chat with for example, and H can bring up the chat history on the overlay.
