Why does the 2D window jam all the time?

It's something that's always happened to me on a variety of different computers and internet connections. Almost every single day I have to open 2D atleast 3 times before the race because the window completely freezes.

What's more annoying is that every time this happens, everything you've done resets. Like I can open 2D, change my push settings from 2 to 5, untick kers, do all the normal things, then sit there chatting to people for 2 minutes. Then it jams, reopen it, and everything is back to default. 2/5 push settings, kers is ticked etc.

It seems to mainly happen to me before the race. During the race it almost never happens, but it does happen on the odd occasion where I click on something like a button or a driver.

Often happens to me too. Sometimes it even jams while I'm moving something on the screen, for example dragging the chat window. One time it froze before the race got opened, I was staring on the "Connecting..." screen for a minute till I realized it got stuck. Problem is that the mouse arrow switches to the hand with pointing finger when hovering over a place where a button is supposed to be, so it means it's just a stuck image and you can probably do something blindly, so the window itself must still be working :D

Nah, it doesn't let you click things even though it tells you where the button is. I was going to mention that part aswell but forgot lol.

But why does everything revert to default is what I wanna know? If I did the stuff then sat there talking to people, surely I am connected properly and it must have recognised my commands?

Eton, one thing I have noticed is that any changes you do in the 2D window / live timing is not taken into account until the race starts.
That could be the explanation for the issue you have described.
In order to have your settings saved, just talking about kers setting, push level and strategy, you should not close your 2D window before the race starts.
You can test it on your own. Here's how, before a race, open a 2D window and modify your strategy and push level. Close the 2D window and open it again and you will see that nothing was saved. It will show the strategy you choose before.
If you do the same thing after a race has started, you will see the difference.

Hope this helps.

Uhh, nope not for me. If it doesn't jam and I close it myself, all the settings save fine.

More to the point though I was really just wondering why it randomly freezes all the time XD It's really annoying sometimes, especially if it jams 20 seconds before the race and by the time you re-open it the first lap has already started and you lost a couple of positions because you're back on low push.

(The above scenario obviously doesn't happen often, but I have had it happen before)
