Hi, So I've been playing the game now for a few months and the only thing that disappoints me is, I haven't seen much of break in the super soft/soft strategy, even now that the weather has become a lot hotter in places. We had a race 2 days ago in Bahrain where it was 35 celcius and still ss/s dominated! So why not make soft, ss tyres less effective in the heat? Currently softs outperform mediums in very hot conditions when they're supposed to be more suitable in cold conditions. I think an optimum temperature zone for each tyre may be an alternative. So for example 2 C for super softs, 8 softs, 20 C meds and 28 hards. Maybe a 30 point scale where the middle figure for each respective tyre is the optimum temperature value and 15 degrees either side is the maximum fall off. Outside of the optimum temperatures on either side of the scale they fall off at a quicker rate either through degradation or effectiveness through overheating/cooling. Anything over 15 degrees would remain at the maximum fall off so as not to make the car become too ineffective.
So here the player would have to consider temperature values a lot more carefully and how those temps are going change during the race. In the above example I used it would mean that both softs and mediums would operate to the same effect at 14 C where softs would be 6 degrees over thier optimum and mediums 6 under, so the player would have to really consider which tyre to choose dependent on increase/decrease in temp values. This is somethin I considered a few weeks back the more I played the game and became aware of the very common ss/s trend but I don't know how easily it could be applied to the game if they were to try to incorporate something like this into the game. I think this would make tyre strategies become a lot more varied along with a broader element of strategy and consideration for each race.
