Tried to open chat mid-race.
What happened instead?
While I was innocently looking away the game is nonchalantly using up all of my boost. I close the chat and yes, my boost is gone. I did result in a gain of time, but because it wasn't used cleverly it cost me massively. I can only imagine how pissed I would be if I had 100% boost and this had happened...

Yes, because it happened to both of my cars during the race!
Additional comments:
I remember it being a thing that, on mobile, if you pressed the boost button and then opened chat it would stay on, but in my 4 years of playing this game I have never seen something like this on PC. My fingers weren't anywhere near the boost buttons!
