Leagues: Locking

Hi,

I'm here today to make a suggestion, I've been thinking about how the League Lock works and notice a problem, it actually works. I mean it locks all the league, my suggestion is to give the league leader the option to lock "Tier by Tier" in a way that he can lock only the Elite tier of the league and the other Tiers be free to join.

Why am I making this suggestion?
Well the league leader of the league I race in has faced the problem of a less competitive PRO tier, those who are coming up to Elite has been managers who are offline, and for this reason has been kicked, no new managers has been entering the PRO tier because it is locked.

So, why was it locked?
It was locked because all the time he kicked someone who has been offline the person would log in just to re enter the Elite tier, it has been a really boring situation, the competitve managers (myself included) has been complaning because they have been altering the results of the race when they are being lapped.

We wish the league leader could lock only the Elite tier so no new managers enter directly there and make the other tier free to new managers to join.

Indeed. The host be capable of lock 1 tier instead the whole league, it's a good idea. I agree with this...

Makes sense, having rookie unlocked at most time seems like a good idea to keep a healthy league. 

My only question is, what happen when you get promoted to Elite? Do you need the password. I guess you mean for it to only apply to those wanting in from outside?

That's a great question, the ideia is that managers who get promoted won't need to use the password to get promoted to the Elite tier. The password would be required from managers outside the league who want to join the Elite tier directly.
