Level 17 - 19 Advantage

Is it common in other leagues for Level 17 to 19 managers to be dominating over Level 20 managers? This seems counter intuitive to what you would think would happen. But it is very common in our highly competitive league that 17s and 18s leave the 20s in the dust.

It depends on manager. The best lvl 16+ managers can regularly compete for podiums and perhaps more, so by level 17 or 18... It all comes down to strategy, boost usage and Push. Keeping temp optimal (in the black) is very important, as is pushing correctly (High Corners, low straights. This allows tyres to keep the same temp whilst pushing higher, as tyres cool in corners and warm in straights). All this can be up to half a minute over a race, more than making up for any level disadvantages in DRS or boost, as the drivers should be almost equal at T20, Driving 20, stamina 20 and mental 15-20. 

I have found this! I don’t know if it’s to do with research power. As level 20, our Cd’s are probably only level 18/19 but level 16s have level 16s so greater research power by 5% I think? 

Me too, even though I'm pretty maxed out it doesn't seem to make any difference when compared to 17,18,19 drivers.
