Starting car not as it should

Hi there, I had a weird issue a few days ago where I was relegated to rookie by mistake, I was put back up to elite with the points I had but my car for the new season is based on my CD from then on, so is terrible. I used a 4.5star CD with strength of acceleration and weakness of reliability for the whole season, so expected the better possible car for the new season but most my stats are in the 20s rather than 44, but accel max and reliability down? Please sort this out as otherwise its just going to be a waste of a season for me, and a bit annoying as won the last 4 in a row!
