0.004

In fact there a quite a few like that. Perhaps a btter way to show how close it is.....

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/266895

The first 15 covered by 0.228.

& here the first 30 covered by 0.75

I don't have the data for close finishes, but there were certainly 2 within 0.010 & 1 of those was 0.006

So when qualifying times are exactly the same, how is the pole determined?

Here's F1's clost qualy: Villeneuve, Frentzen and Schumacher doing identical pole-laps.

I remember that race weekend well too! It was Mika Hakkinen's first F1 victory in that race too, but really weren't the clock broken. That was what finnish TV commentator thought about it too!

Yes, it is possible to get three excactly same times by thousand of a second, but which one is more likely. That or result to be fixed. Just asking.. greatest mystery of them all, lol. I want mythbusters to solve this. :D

I think it's bound to happen sometime in 897 Grands Prix, and that day it did. I haven't heard about the clock being broken.

Not really qualy or a win, but I did lose the podium here by literally nothing.

So when the lap time (in qualy) or race time (for race) is identical between more than one car, how is the order determined?

So when the lap time (in qualy) or race time (for race) is identical between more than one car, how is the order determined?

In formula 1, the first one to have done the lap will be starting in front.
The order is the same as the cars crossing the line.
I don't know how it is implemented in iGP though, but we don't run our qualification laps at the same time.
And I don't know what the order is too...
