My last race I accidentally added an extra point to one feature on my car. It saved. I was expecting 14 pts for design after my race today. I had 15.
I thought I'd push it & try to add 30pts. 15 I have & 15 extra. When I saved it, it seems to have moved the points around. I think it took from one area & added to another :/
Long story short. What's the deal with that? Shouldn't it just not save or not give you the option to go over?
Any help?

It happened to one of my accounts too. If you used your current DP + 1 and saved it with, the extra 1 goes to the last area you selected and is discounted from your DPs while the rest is reset as normal.

Car design before and after assigning all those points would be very appreciated.

1st try: was what we said about the bug;
2nd try: was trying to reproduce it placing DPs on the same attribute, but didn't work;
3rd try: another bug?

@Juanito, this is very interesting. I'll forward that to developer team.

You weren't able to produce extra Design points, but every time you try to assign more points than you really have, I think it should reset and don't assigning.

So I tried this again yesterday & the one design area I went over my points limit, none of the points applied. The others did. So I had to go in & save them again. Maybe it was a one off or maybe I was mistaken. I'm pretty sure I see it though.

Do you agree with me that resetting the Design page when you try to assign more points than you have is the best solution ?

Well, you aren't fixing the wrong logic, but it shall fix most tries of extra points assignments.
But if a "simple" logic problem isn't being solved, what should we expect about the more complex race simulation with pit-stops problems and pole being overtaken into turn 1 on wet Malaysia and Europe? Or league finder to be fixed? This isn't a good image to be passed to the players, especially after Jack's post saying that they are focused on new things and not fixing the game to be more playable.

Juanito, every time pole position lose position in Europe and Malaysia. I'd say it's dirty part of track hehehe

And I know how you feel about small stuff being neglected, as a mod I will still try to find those logic issues hoping that they take notes in order to fix them in the future.
