How about ,,without refuel“

Hi guys!

What do you think about races without refuel, like real F1.....?

Is there a chance to create a „mode“ for a League? the Host could also choose the ,,no refuel“ mode like the race length or the race speed .....

just an idea?

I think the tire Performance is to similiar and the opportunity to manage the degredation is too low, so it will end up with the same strategy for everyone, really boring races...

Well I don’t think so..... today often I choose 2 Stopps (50% races) because for 1 Stopp I would need to much fuel.
The fuel is what is actually limiting my strategies not the tires!

But without that ,,weight“ effect I think the strategy during the race could be change very often. 

So i think absolutely opposite to you, instead of boring races I am shure races will be more spontaneous and changing the strategy during the race will have more possibilities. 

But this is only my personal thinking.... maybe it’s wrong ?

Thats wrong in my opinion.

At the Moment you have 2 opportunities 1 stop and 2 stop, you have to make the decision based on the track and the opponent, both strategies can work depending on how the race develops.
Without refueling everyone would use 1 stop, soft soft or soft Medium depending on the track and the tire. 
The soft tire is around 0,3 sec fester than the Medium when above 50% when the soft is at 40-50% it is equally fast. The same Delta happens between supersoft and soft. You would gain  3 sec in 10 laps. So you would need 50 to 80 laps to gain the 15-25 sec you need for an additional stop...
For your idea to work, the tire degredation and the usage of push levels has to be changed.
If the degredation would have an Instant effect on lap Times, not from the 50% level and there would be an opportunity to manage the degredation, to hold the tire alive or to go faster, then it would work.

In my thinking, it was like:
- I planed S-M but during my second stint I will notice  M doesn’t have a good performance... actually it is senseless to change the tire again, because I am allready slower because of the amount of fuel 
- I thought without that ,,weight“ effect I would be able to change to another tire and the ,,weight“ doesn’t have any impact.

But yes, you are right until we are not able to keep the lifetime dynamic, it’s useless ?

You could ask your leaguemates to respect the rule and try it out explaining to them to put [X] laps of fuel in on the 1st stint and 1L on the other so the tyres gets selected. You can give them the possibility of putting in a liter more or less to make it a small gamble on the total fuel load at the start.
But I don't think it will have a good reception for most managers. We tried it out on a QR and the result was kinda of fun, but on the long run it may become monotonous, don't know.

I would appreciate it if the league manager could choose if refueling is allowed or not. In our League the top Manager would agree to no refueling. If they could manage to stick motorsettings to push levels just like in F1 Games/ real it would help a lot to make races not so boring.
