Carry engines over from restocks

I have an idea that you should be able to carry over engines from restocks e.g. You only use 8 of the 10 engines over 20 races the 2 space engines are kept making 12 engines for the next 20 races 
maybe this idea would be a little overpowered but you would have to pay for the engines still so maybe it wouldn't be
Tell me your opinions on this idea.
If this is already in the game or been suggested sorry about that 

Nah, I don't see how this would improve gameplay. Actually, I'd like to see the number of engines per season go down, so performances can fluxuate more.

agree with you there jaap maybe even have less engines but be allowed to pick which one to use on certain races

I don't know how I feel about less engines, but ^this^ I would really like to see.

I don't think that less engines is a good idea, nor the idea of getting engines carried over. I do like the idea of choosing engines though. I always replace an engine between Spa and Monza, but it would certainly be possible to reuse the Spa engine at a less stressful track.
