So i was going to use softs and go for a two stopper. On back off my tyres were getting 11.8 per lap, now this is just silly, also they would get bright red from back off which just makes no sence, on tracks where the tyre wear is high or very high there is no point even thinking about softs as its just useless.
Its not just the temp thats the problem, its the % per lap too.

I wonder if tire problems hits all manufactures or the differences among the suppliers are minimal.

Joe: I'd love to know what race this was, or do you remember what the temperature was?  The condition degrades faster when the tyres are overheating by the way.  We're thinking of adding a 3rd compound, so we might be able to address your main concern that way.

Alin: At the moment the temperatures of the tyres from all manufacturers behaves the same, but the way they wear, and how they are affected by temperature is different.

Erm here is the race ID Andrew:http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/13#race
And basically when i was on push hard it would use up around 9% So i thought ok ill go to back off, which then started to use 11.8% per lap. I guess that was the problem with the push levels which i now believe are fixed.
Edit: When it using up 11.8% per lap the tyres were still pretty good temperature (from the colour)

Ok, I see it's not because of the temperature.  Spain has the highest "tyre wear" rating which will be the reason.  I can adjust this so that the "Very High" tyre wear rating isn't quite so high if others agree this would be an improvement.  But as I said we're considering adding another compound so it may be better to leave this as it is for the time being.
