Having played the game for about 6 months now, I'm approaching the top levels and I'm competing against many level 20 managers, but many of them have drivers that, despite having ratings of 20 across the board, are still only level 18 rated. Some I've seen are level 20, with exactly the same stats.
I have 2 questions. 1. Is there any difference in the overall ability of these drivers between level 18 and 20? And 2. I've seen people saying that to make your driver level 20 you have to train them right up to the last point, wait till they hit 20 experience and then train the final point. Is this true?

Hi Jack.
First question... The developers assure us the level is only visual and providing they're each trained to 20 across all attributes there is no difference between a L18 and L20 driver. In fact, from experience I don't find there's any difference between a driver trained to 20 in all attributes and one who is only trained to around 15 in the mental attributes. For this reason I will often make a driver "active" before completing their mental training.
Second question... Correct. For a Talent 20 driver, if you leave one of the mental attributes at 19, wait until experience reaches 20 and then train the final attribute to 20 the driver will be L20.

Ok cool, thanks for confirming what I thought was right from my observations, that it's just visual with no actual benefit. And I've also started to notice that drivers around level 15 on mental stats are so similar to ones with 20s that any difference is negligible. Thanks again mate ?
