Hello, just a quick question - If I have a driver and his contract runs out, does anyone know if I'll have to pay his signing fee if I then go on to re-sign him? As far as I understand it I can "renew" the contract before it runs out and give him a small pay rise, but not have to pay the fee, but I'm just wondering will it cost me if I let the contract run out and then decide to re-sign him?

Had some good results with this driver but with a talent of only 2 I'm not sure how much of a long term option he might be!

Thanks.

Talent is very important in a driver as it can't be improved. Even though your driver is going to be good, A driver with talent like 16+ will help even more. I reccomend going on the driver market and searching the skills by the highest talent and then pick a driver who is yound, healthy and not very heavy. :) I will post an example.

Looks pretty good...but do you know if I'll have to pay a signing fee if I choose to keep my current driver (either through "re-newing" or letting the contract run out then resigning with him)? If I have to pay a large fee anyway I might upgrade to a new driver like you suggest :)

If the contract expires & you want the driver back, you need to wait until you have participated in one race & then you can re-sign them. You will have to pay the signing fee again.

If you renew the contract prior to it expiring you do not have to pay the signing fee again

Is this new? I once forgot to renew a driver's contract, but I was able to hire him back without running a race in between. I did have to pay the signing fee again though.
