50% races are diffrent then 100% races. Since the last update the 100% races were crazy but the 50% races actually got better. Gonna just ask a question here, could there be tire scaling for diffrent lenght of races? Would be great because all, or 90% of the active racers in my league liked the last update because it suited 50% races.

You really need to make this happen ASAP, 50% races were so much better, everyone i've spoke to says that, i been playing for 2 years and since update/tyre wear etc is the most ive enjoyed it for over a year by a long way, gutted that we going back to the crappy boring repetative 2 stop races with everyone pitting on the same lap every race in a few days after having a great balance between 2 stops & 3 stops at nearly every track.... 
first enjoyable good update for ages and its gone in less than 2 weeks, sucks!

This is the most disappointed moment i have had with this game since i started playing after reading the news section......

Look at a 100% race that took place 2night in a top league, 3 different strategy's in the top 4 positions, go back to old tyre wear and everyone in top 10 would of 4 stopped without question (so its not just 50% races), it dont matter that its 4-6 ,7 8 or 9 stops, this game aint F1 anyway & you stumbled on a way of great variety, it was just right . am so sad at this, taking strategy back out of the game, so wrong.

Whilst the game is not trying to replicate Formula 1, the situation commented on recently where 9 stops won the race is clearly not what we are aiming for.

As Jack says, one of the priorities now is to add some more tyre compounds, which will change the strategy options in a more realistic manner.

too bad it isn't possible in short term, I know nothing about programming but in my eyes it looked possible as a small change, splitting the tire wear but that proved wrong :P

If you think about it logically and take a step back.. They have said about more compounds.

The Inters didn't take that long to develop if I remember correctly. So why not go back to something that wasn't broken per say and think about maybe about 4 or 5 version of just dry tyres...

Super Softs, Softs, Medium, Hards and Super Hards.

Bad names I know, but you get the idea.

25% Leagues Super Softs + Softs.

50% leagues = Super Softs, Softs and Medium compounds only..

75% distance gets the Softs, Medium and Hards..

100% gets the Medium, Hards and Super Hards...


It's just a concept that may work better if it's easier to make new tyres than to try and balance all the specs of Tyres + Engins + Fuels..

I honestly think simple fixes are needed more so than big updates that need working on once loaded on to the system.. 100's small fixes in this game is far better than 1 or 2 big updates that could add more issues to the game.

Thinking about it, there is no reason for the shorter distances not to have the harder compounds...

I can imagine the situation of cars not making a pitstop at all; this is easily solved by making it manditory to pit at least once no matter the race distance

if 9 stops looks unreal, Better to restrict the number of pit stops to 5-6 for a race . It will make teams to use hard tires aswell as managing the tires for long. In wet races it can be tricky tho, so balancing the number of pitstops is important

What is the ETA on these tyres going live? 1 week? 1 month or the usual 1 year? i imagine its closer to the 1 year mark before we see these new compounds.

+ you have already said u cant have different tyres for different race lengths, so all the compounds will be available for 100% races aswell, so whats to stop guys doing 9 stoppers on super softs on a cold day average wear track and winnning? will you then bow to the important 100% race length Members and  re-verse the new compounds again and go back to what its going to be 2moro because doing 9 stops doesnt represent Formula one to these people?

Best change all the other stuff on this game that doesnt represent current formula one aswell (as theres alot!) while your at it for the May 2015 update.

Shouldn't that be a choice for the manager ?.. if there are lots of different tyre compounds (5 in this case) a race can be completed with 3 stops on superhards for example or 12 stops on superstops... 

A manager should have the choice to choose. 

At the end of the day the game is not meant to replicate real F1.

they're implementing a new update that reduces tire wear monday, because they don't want 9 stop to be the fastest. read the any ideas forum post by Rob Musgrove for that.

oh that.. thats not really related to my point.

I'm simply replying to Om Vin's comments that there shouldnt be any restrictions on the no. of pitstops a manager can make

I was trying to stop a load of new things being added and then having to mess about with them for weeks before they are right..

We would all love a load of nice tweeks to the game, but adding things like new tracks, functions and other controls could be to hard for the current staff and they would find it easier to make a whole new game, rather than tying to sort some of the little tweeks that are needed....

So WE as the community of iGP need to come up with proper ideas that have the easiest route to impliment to the game...

I said about tyres and staight away.. Add "Forced 1 stop" Add "Use 2 coumponds."

Addind a load of ideas on to 1 basic idea then changes it to a huge update again and that is not needed.. We really need to keep things as simple as possible for each idea we have from now on.

The idea of tyre compounds came from the Inters that didn't seem to take that long from "talked about" to Imputting to the game with very little issues.
