hey,

if got a problem. when the weather is around 10 degrees and the tyre wear is medium my tyres instantly overheat (turn red). is there someting i an do to fix this? on hards the problem is way less. for this race i've changed my driver, for a more talented one, trying to help.
My tyres are bridgerocks.

greetings,

Tom

What push setting are you using to heat your tyres? Using push hard constantly heats your tyres much quicker than any other setting. The best way to keep your tyres cool from the start of a race or stint is to push hard until they are white/grey or start to turn pink. Then turn down the push settings. If the tyres begin to cool, use a harder push setting until they enter the same colour range. Just remember that constantly using higher push settings/higher temperatures wear the tyres more, but when the tyres are baadly worn, they will begin to cool rapidly, so use push hard when they begin to cool down likey crazy.

Hope this helps

I used the push hard setting (not the most push setting), but it didn't help by turning down the push setting.... or barely.

Tom, You are pushing too much. On some tracks at 10 degrees the softs will run hot on 2/5. Pushing harder on hot tyres will make the situation worse. Once you have them grey, try running 2/5 & let me know how you get on

i got my new driver last race, tyre wear was again medium and 10 degrees pushed on the 3/5 setting (hold position).  and became 4th! 1 second after the number 2. so that is working for me! thanks for the info and help!

It was possible your crummy driver told you to put too much downforce on your car compounding the problem.

i'm getting the hang of it now, but it's really tricky! so i switched tyres to dunelots, i'll lose preformance but the tyres should be easier to manage and i hope that will give me the edge!

i'm still 2 seconds off the pace when my tyres are pink-ish. my car is as good as theirs, my set-up was perfect (same conditions). i don't get it!
