Topspeed

My topspeed in quali was 3(!) KMPU slower with a new engine while I was only 2 tents of pole. Please explain it.

The top speed can be affected by a number of different things. Indeed a higher top speed is not necesarily a measure of a superior setup or indeed a measure of anything at all.

The reported topspeed is faulty as well, in the race I pushed and saw the speed up to 323, only to be reported afterweards as 311... That doesn't seem right....

Top speed is the highest speed obtained, not the average speed which basically measures your laptime.

Top speed is buggy. In particular, you can spectate at Monaco and regularly see speeds above 300 km/h, but at the end of the race, the results show something in the low 200-ish range.
