When signing a new staff member how does one know what their skill levels are?

Once I became a level 2 I was able to see what drivers had a good talent level.

Now for hiring Tech Dir, Commercial Manager an ect I only have to go off the 3 points on the triangle that is provided.  Which doesnt seem to help that much.

I just released a  Commercial Dir with a "Skill set of 7" for another Commercial Dir who had a overall fuller triangle with a Skill set of 5.

Could someone please explain?   I think this would be helpful to give them stats on a 0-20 scale like all the drivers.

Allen, a level 7 Commercial Director will be better than a level 5, regardless of the triangle. However, you can use the triangle to compare staff of the same level. I think this answers your question, let me know if it does not

No really

So when looking at the above Skill set 4, how do you hire an employee with a higher skill set?   Currently I have a level 6 who is a 4, the previous was a level 6 but had a skill set of 6.

Now when lcomparing the triangles the current Commerical Dir has a better overall triangle with a lower skill set.  I think this is confusing?

Proposal (for the mods): I think you can do as you did with the suppliers, give some attributes to the staff in their roles, to be able to identify which one it's better than the other, and to train in some of their "talents"..

The attributes for the staff are displayed in the 'triangle'

this is why I asked  an made mentioned in my earlier posting?   The triangle is for crap when you look at skill set.

But the triangle says nothing... like, how I know if it is a good chief designer with the charisma?.... and it could be experienced, he/she could be working for a long time, but the triangle do not show me how good is that worker for his job. Could be better if it show a design skill to know how much time o how much % he/she can achive, something like that.. Do I make you understand my point of view?

I do understand your point Andi.

This is one of things that you need to find out for yourself. Those that know are reluctant to go into detail about particular facets of the game.

It's a bit like drivers...I believe I know what I am doing with them up to a point & then it's just guesswork. Even though I help out with a few things, I don't know anymore than you about this type of thing.

OK OK.. I understand what you are saying, I'm still kind of new here, but I've learned some stuff... but I wanna make this clear, I'm not criticizing, but proposing something for the future. I know you are working on the tires (which its awesome) and who knows what else, but it would be great if you (all) consider this suggestion, if it's possible..

OK so I totally understand your frustration.....

So let put it like this.   If I hire a driver based on the same triangle design but I am unable to see what his attributes are on a 0-20 how do I know he is any good other than a made up skill value assigned to him?

Also when comparing one driver to another you can filter what you are looking for.   On all other staff members its a guessing game based lvl an experience along with the triangle which really tells me nothing.   THe only thing I can actually gather is skill once I decide to sign them.
