I have no idea if guys are even interested in this or like the idea of rules I’ve put forward but I’m setting it up and seeing what the response is.

I know one of these was talked about by iGP staff like a year ago to have the Best V the Best with a standard equal teams but nothing ever happened, so I’m going to try to create something in a bit of different way (you will have to use your own teams), my idea is to set up this league for a start time of 4 - 6 week’s time which will allow everyone who wants to do it a chance to build their car up to 100% as I can’t be ass'd with setting design limits and trying to police it (too much stress, awkwardness), so that everyone will start the season with a 100% equal car.

Please Note this is not the iGP Manager staff Official sactioned Pinnacle league that does not currently exsist but my own version of a normal league but just with the intention of having the best v the best.
 
it will be 1 x 100% race per week (which is what was discussed a year ago) on a Sunday at 6.50pm BST start time, please don’t bombard me with day change request's & start time request’s etc. as it will be impossible to please everyone, when I look at the best leagues they all seem to be around 5pm gmt to 10gmt start times so I’ve just stuck a time somewhere in the middle at 6.50pm BST so hopefully there’s enough guys around that can do it, plus it’s a Sunday as it’s a free day for most.

(It’s only 1 day a week!)
 
You don’t have to join with your main team, you can join with a 6000 rep team if you want to keep racing everyday with your main one, id still class your hall of fame rank of your highest team as your rank for this league, most of the top guys have got more than 1 elite team knocking about, + alot of guys high up are not in leagues at moment either.
But the higher rank of Team you use the better though to stop high reputation teams getting killed against lots of 5000-6000 rep teams.
 
 
The other problem is the Design, I only want this to be a 1 race per week league, but design updates are terribly slow like this so getting up to 100% might not be possible in 6 weeks probably only update 1 part a day or even worse than that, ideally I would of like to create the league as an everyday one then switch to 1 race a week league b4 the 1st race so design can be done quicker, but I’ve tried that and it won’t let the changes to take effect until the following season even though the season hasn’t started (Maybe Andrew Hurn or Jack Basford could help with a way around this??)
 
If not the alternative is to build your car up to 100% in another everyday league then switch over once it’s done ready for the start of the season.
But if you do this can you at least state on the league wall your intention to join for 1st race to show that there is actually going to be some top players taking part, because if its empty know one will join etc. & I’ll shut it down.

2 Cars (16 Teams)
 
1 x 100% race on a Sunday (starting 27th of April)
 
Start Time - 6.50pm BST (50 mins after world series, 70 mins before Everyday iGP, and 100 mins Before British racing league)
 
1st Race several weeks away to allow everyone to build a 100% car.
 
Only 1 Team in the league per player
 
Higher rank players get priority in Joining.
 
The idea is to get, The Best v The Best with equal design car, as something a bit different to the normal everyday race leagues.

This is an Online League, dont join if you plan to be offline for most races.
 
Also I just remembered suppliers, everyone is free to do as they wish with suppliers, u can change them every race if u can be ass'd to do that :P
I dont like it but i dont want loads of rules to police, maybe iGP guys can put the supplier familarity back like they had before now that guys know which suppliers to use at each individual track changing every race,  except when changing in pre-season.

Is the ability to design & spy part of the challenge of the game? I think it is. Should this be included here?

The way i see it is, that this league or season im trying to create it to be as much about the manager skill as possible, there are a few outside performance factors that come into it, other than manager live race skill, & strategy

i cant do anything to create a level playing field with driver skill, dodgy quali's and getting screwed in pits,
the only one i can take out of the equation is car design level, i want everyone one to have the same car design for everyrace (the only way to do this with no stress is everyone at 100% 1st race), i dont see the point of what i want this league to be it if we are all going have different car design's some with good, some with average & so on, theres plenty of other league's where you can do the whole design process thing, thats not what this is about.

plus there will still be some differences with the different suppliers.

Maybe i would change my mind on this in future especially if new design system comes out but for this 1st season, we need everyone with the same design level, how many season's has there been where all the top guys had the same car from start to finish in same league? compared to how many season's theres been with the top guys with mostly different car designs, a couple of guys all out on this season, couple in the middle and a couple building for next season and so on, not in a 17 week championship.

Have to find out how to get to 100% with one of my current teams. One of the main ones is at race 4 of the season and beyond the 70% development so switching that to next season design won't work anymore. The other will start a season soon but I don't realy want to move it out of it's league. And yet another has drivers that need at least a season of training and the manager lvl isn't high enough there to hire drivers from my other teams.

In other words, I might even have to abort a season somewhere to make it.... choices, choices. :)

Just an idea, but in the interest of fairness is there any way the design could be governed by iGP staff or is that out of the question since iGP isn't running the league?

I mean ideally it would be pretty sweet if the entire league could have their designs switched to 100% every season to keep it balanced.

Edit: I see no reason they couldn't do it, but I can understand if they wouldn't because then you would probably get random league hosts from all over the place asking to have the same thing done lol.

Gary asked me to host the league, and I said yes. I'll be hosting the league then, same everything as stated here. If someone else wants to host the league that I know can host a league you can PM me, I don't have to do it. :D

Only thing holding me back for now is the question how many managers are going to join. I will have to switch two teams which run on completely different schedules (every day vs. 3 times a week) and I have a 3 day window for that right now. After friday things are getting complicated.

if Jack or andrew can sort out the problem of me being able to switch the league from 1 day a week racing to everyday racing then switching back to 1 day a week for start of new season (all during gap between season, with postponements thrown in aswell etc) so everyone can stay an build there 100% car (which it wont let me do at the moment as i have tried)

This is unlikely to happen

Edit, sorry that's not meant to be so blunt. It's not something I can do. It could be requested, but it is my considered opinion that it will not be done. That doesn't prevent it being requested & I could support such a request.

Really hope this takes off, don't see this as a normal league as it's only once a week and only for 'good' players ^^

Unfortunately I can't join. Spoke to Gary yesterday and it isn't really possible to change the time or day as other people then can't make it.

Just re-arranged a junior team which only needs a season of driving to get the drivers trained and the car at 100%.

So, I'm in for sure. :)

The mistery manager account is mine, if someone needs an account to race in the league you can use mine. The drivers on there are drivers I'm planning to hire some time to my main team so they're good.

What are the "firm penalties" that would be applied in leaving one league to join another? i.e. everyday league to 1 a week league?
