Hey guys,

An Analyse freak i would like to analyse practice laps better.

How about adding a marker at the Laptimes

Green = good lap
Yellow = normal lap
Red = bad lap

Then with the knowing that green is 0,3faster then yellow, red is 0,3 slower,...... it would be possible to Analyse the lap

Let’s say lap without spending Dp
1:30,000 (green)

Lap with spending DP
1:30.100 (red)

Now I could see, that my lap with spending DP is slower BUT it is an red lap, so a green lap would be 0,6sec faster.....

Do you get what I mean?

Practice laps time is far from real time during race... It's usefull only for tyre and fuel consumption.

How would this help at all as you can just check the times yourself and see if it’s 3 tenths faster or slower..

It all depends on what you will do in practice.... if you want to check your car design it would be great to get deeper information.... if you just want to do setup and check tyre and fuel, you don’t need more information....

Drivers make errors on practice laps, so it would help to know which laps they make errors on. Say you use a Murk engine in the car and go 0.1 secs slower than a lap with Rednote in the car, it would help to know if on that lap the driver made a mistake (in which case you'd say the Murk engine was better despite being a slower lap)

Oh, I understand what you mean now but if you want that just take out the possibility of a mistake, easier to code and less tricky to understand.

Yes but no, the game shouldn't present everything in readily pre-chewed chunks on a silver platter. So it'd be better to make sure a lap of training, qualifying and race share the same basic factors, obviously minus the added wear and tear and traffic the race adds to the table for the first two, and keep the errors in despite it's harder both for programming and the manager. But give the manager things like sector times and maybe a driver commentary like 'That lap went smooth', 'Had a little trouble in turn 5' or 'Would like another go, I'm sure I can do better' to give that data some context.

Yes Frank! Your idea is also fine..... I just wanted to start brainstorming how we could improve practice. And btw it could be a win win situation.... instead of 2token for perfekt setup, you could spent token for the deeper information 😉

I agree it would be useful to have  practice feedback in practice laps, driver feedback saying if its bad, good lap like other motorsport manager games.
