Practice lap wear

Hi, just new to the game and read a lot but couldnt find the answer straight away. Is the practice lap wear the 100% tire condition wear? 

In other words can I assume that if the practice lap says 8% wear that my calcultion should be as follows:

Lap 1: 100 * 0.92 = 92
Lap 2: 92 * 0.92 = 84.6
Lap 3: 84.6 * 0.92 = 77.8
Etc...

That's correct and gives a very good approximation. But be aware that practice lap tyre wear is only provided as an integer but behind the scenes I think a decimal value is used and a decimal point can make a significant difference...
