Poor Next Season Design Percentages

Hello all!
I have been playing iGP for nearly a year now and I have never had this problem before. I am getting very bad performance for next season. Even with a level 9 deisgner, wind tunnel and a test rig I am getting +2% also with the settings of my wind tunnel and test rig set to high testing time. 

Any help appreciated.

Nick, did you have a highly designed car last season?

If so, the game actively penalises you the following season.

From the rules:

Section 2 Technical, 2.1 Car design....

"Next season gains are based on current season performance levels
When a team focuses a lot of energy on one season it has a negative impact on the next. This prevents a team from ever becoming unstoppable"

wasnt that hight 75-80%

Surely that wouldnt cause 1 and 2%'s though?

I have the same problem.

I know it would be dull to have the same team winning every season, but does this game mechanic mean that in a competitive league, there's no chance to emulate the consecutive multiple title successes of real world drivers such as Schumacher and Vettel?

Unless you play with Jake Stergios in your own private league, get your ass kicked for the 3rd season in a row.

If you look at some of the highest ranked leagues, you will see that people can win several consecutive seasons, despite the strength of opposition
