Perhaps being able to upload a picture of your driver instead of having the same for all men and the same for the women drivers?

Not sure how easy it would be to impliment and I bet it gets abused BUT I like the idea.

Rather than an upload of photos, how about just some variety in the game-supplied photos? Allow three or four different hairstyles for both men and women, and also different hair colors?

The amount of work involved in a driver creator makes it hard to justify the project.

In the verison 2 update the driver pictures have been changed, but they are still uniform. I'm hoping to introduce a variety of male and female faces of multiple races at some point in the future.

Maybe if a driver wins a WDC the image could change (e.g. he grows a Mansell'ish moustache, hah).
