CD not researching in last race

What did you try to do?
The CD leaves without researching in the last race. I lost valuable design points due to this

What happened instead?
Half the research points

Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?

This is not a bug but the way the game works. After the race finishes the contracts and levelling are processed before the research is calculated. Therefore if your CD contract expires he/she is replaced and then the research is calculated based on the new CD level and strength/weakness.

This also means if you level up after the race you may receive a few design points less than you expect but this doesn't become evident until next season.

That makes no sense. Why would I pay the CD if he is not giving me any points for that race? You definitely should change this. Why is contracting calculated before research?

I would really like to know the logic behind this. Is this something you cannot fix easily?
What is the logic of paying a CD when he is not doing the research?

If im see left 1 race, its implies that he will complete the last race, design, get paid and leave.

it would be more logical to write 0 races left

Hi Maikar.

After which race did this occur?



This occurred in last fifth race. I did 4 races after the race with low research. The race was probably Belgium. I lost around 16 handling points as I got only 16 which was half. That’s almost my dp generated from a race.

I have a correction. My TD contract expired and not CD.

Hi Maikar.

Thanks for the correction. I think you'll find the same applies to both CD and TD. If you allow their contract to expire they pack their desk away and jigger off as soon as the race finishes without doing any work. To be honest, I think if my employer were to fail to renew my contract I'd do much the same LOL.

On a more serious note, I can understand your irritation regarding the order in which activities are processed, but now you know you won't do the same thing again. As a bonus your experience has informed everyone else.
