Sharing Recording/Stream infos

I recently started recording some races as a test before doing an entire season and came up with the idea of creating this specific topic so I can share my thoughts about it here so I, and maybe some iGP staff, can hear what others have to say about them and give suggestions on how to incorporate changes to iGP or helping me and others with things that are "fixable" outside iGP instead of jumping to endless "suggestions" ?


First of all: The leaderboard is hard to comprehend after a compression from YouTube or Twitch and it forces you to record at higher resolution (for me is 720p and also higher bitrates) to compensate it. Maybe making the letters and numbers slight bigger and vectorized can help?;


2- I record offline races and all I see is plenty of room for the leaderboard to expand to, so why not use that blank area to show more teams and drivers? I'm sure it will assist us recording and streamers find who overtook who and for which position faster ?;


3- Another thing that I noticed is that the race viewer is only optimized for maximized screen, and isn't fluid to comport full screen or a smaller size of one (like halving it with OBS). For full screen it makes the leaderboard too big and zoom in on the track which results in partial blocking of it, worst tracks for it are Spain and Monaco in which the blocked area represents half of a sector!
For any smaller screen configuration the leaderboard, track info and chat becomes unreadable!;


4- Adding up some of the topics above, why not make a delimited area for the track so it doesn't goes under the leaderboard? I believe a small offset to the left and removing some of the areas (which are there just to fill the screen for 16:9) can help to make some room for the leaderboard out of the track;


5- An annoying detail that I faced when I switched to browser for recording purposes is the inability for the race viewer to save sound and scrolling settings from race to race ?‍♂️;


6- In the very beginning I faced a lot of issues to understand why OBS wasn't interpretating my "iGP Manager" tab differently from my other "iGP Manager" tab... I think you understood what I meant ?? So why not have separate name for each individual tabs like "Qualifying - iGP Manager", "Race - iGP Manager", "Race Viewer - iGP Manager"?


7- Another thing which can help people record and stream on low-end devices (if this is what dictates if some update/suggestion is going ahead or not) is a toggle to select if you want to download high resolution tracks or not and also the possibility of downloading them all in one go outside the race viewer instead of having to enter an earlier race and doing it manually to be prepared for the race you are going to use it for ?


8- Part of the marketing for a streamer is a beautiful logo and banner to show off the car livery trying to beat Facu's arts but your cheek hits the floor before you can make one as his' are undoubtedly better ?...  Going back to the topic, the car is in very low definition on the Car tab and doing it through the AR viewer or Car livery editor for later production is quite hard. Isn't there a easier way to show only the car with no background?


9- Can we know what is the velocity the game handles the race? I believe it's 60FPS, specially on 2x, but if it is a bit lower can help us to take the overloading from the CPU ?


10- The last one for this round: Why when we hit TAB the leaderboard shows the gaps and not the gap to leader as it was before?


Hope you saw how I love the leaderboard configuration and may help me and others to overcome those little but annoying details. Good streaming/recording all! ?

Just a thought here, but for the space for more drivers we could incorporate a live championship standings?

I posted it on off-topic not because they aren't suggestions, but I was rather looking forward to a space to share information and discuss with other people recording/streaming and it would easily be "off-topic" conversations. ?





You are not the only one who believes the old viewer with pan on the track was better, heard others saying it too ?

I share with you a suggestion that I have been proposing since the update and it is one of the reasons why I keep using the old interface (_old). It is the Information (History) of Tires in Race. The old interface gave you numerical data and in the new one, a bar that is useless.

It goes without saying that by maximizing the information of the cars on the track, 16 cars enter the old interface and 11 cars enter the new one.

Te comparto una sugerencia que he estado proponiendo desde la actualización y es una de las razones por que me mantengo usando la vieja interfaz ( _old ). Es la Información (Historial) de Neumáticos en Carrera. La antigua interfaz te daba datos númericos y en la nueva, una barra que no sirve de nada.

Está de más decir que al maximizar la información de los autos en pista, en la antigua interfaz entran 16 autos y en la nueva 11.

It would be quite small, messy and hard to implement, without taking into consideration the first and last couple of laps as they are a bigger mess by themselves + pit stops lost and gained positions from in-lap to out-lap? 


For me, having the tab names would already facilitate the transition from race viewer to standings in seconds ?‍♂️
