The league I am in has run 1 race in a new season. I am placed well in the mid-field after finishing 19&20 out of 28 cars. the driver and team standings do not match up with the race results. A team that finished the race 11&14 is placed in 14th, while my team is placed 10th. As well a team that placed lower than me in the race with both drivers is placed in front of me in the standings. Are the standings calculated solely on the best finishing position throughout the season as they are in F1?

Yes they are, but I think it takes a few races for it to do it properly.

I believe teams with zero points are put in a random order, as in one league a few weeks ago I will finishing 16th-18th of 20/21, and I was placed as high as 14th in the standings at one point.
