Does driving a race with worn components reduce lap times?
and
Does KERS get used by drivers not attended by their manager?
I dont have 2D races.
Thank you in advance.
Ron.

Yes, worn tires slow you down. If you have the budget try to change them all for every race.
KERS does get used automaticly, but far from optimal

Ok not tires though im asking about worn engine, front wing etc if these will slow down performance.
Thank you.

Worn components do reduce laptimes. Not like seconds a lap unless they're at the point of breaking down but fresh components do perform better.

Because it seems pointless to me open a new thread just for it, I'm taking the opportunity to ask you my question here.
I have read of widgets in 2D livetime, controlled with hotkeys F1, F2, etc...
But the only one I have is the wrench/screwdriver icon that control fuel and tyres for pitstops... and other 7 squares not filled/unused.
Is it correct, or am I missing something?
Or... are going to show new features that I'll unlock by time, increasing my reputation, or levelling up to Pro or Elite Championships?
I suppose one of theese is going to be KERS that I will achieve in level 6 Research... and the other ones?
Thank you for answering.

Nope, I'm level 11 and there's still only the wrench/screwdriver in the bottom right. No idea if anything will happen to the other 7 :/

Thanks Harrison,
your answer is helpful.
So maybe they are for new features that could be implemented in the future.
