José has already posted a reminder on the Announcements section but for any new hosts I thought I'd post a tip here to save you having to endure a roasting from your league members because race time shifted and it caught them unawares.

In the UK (and many other countries) clocks go forward 1 hour in the early hours of Sunday morning. Race times in iGP are aligned to GMT and do not change so if you want your races to continue to run at the same time you will need to edit the race time in the league settings. It is important to note that changes to race time do not come into effect for 24 hours, so if your league races on a Saturday you need to make the changes BEFORE the Saturday race takes place.

If you don't do this the Sunday race will run an hour later than usual.

I hope this makes sense.

Kevin: so UK goes forward this Sunday the 28th yes? NZ goes back the following Sunday 4th April. My league races at midnight  Tues-Thurs-Sat, therefore lockout is on the mon-wed-fri (which is the days that our sister league races 2 hours prior) which always causes a headache as you can imagine lol. We are on a 7 day break which will start the calendar on the day before DLS rolls back in NZ. My questions to you are..

1. If i postpone the first race until the 6th April.. the entire calendar therefore should shuffle down yes?

2. If i change the clock back -1 hour 'now', effectively making it 11pm Tuesday (which is at the wrong end of the day), if i postpone it.. when UK DLS kicks in it should go back to midnight Tuesday as it was?

3. Is there actually an update (not an April fools prank haha) and will it be implemented prior to the 6th?

Thanks in advance Super Mod.

Hi Daniel

You don't miss a race. Not quite sure why because as you say there is a 24 hour rule for races but it possibly only applies when a manager switches leagues as a measure to prevent league hopping.

So just to confirm, if you race every day and you want to continue to race at the same time on Sunday you will need to edit the league settings any time after today's race finishes and before tomorrow's race starts.

I hope this helps
Kev.

Chris... Wow, you just fried my brain LOL. Your leagues always seem to suffer when clocks change as they race on or around midnight GMT.

I'll do my best to answer and will also discuss this with the other Mods and if what I say turns out to be incorrect I'll come back and edit this post.

1. Yes, if a race is postponed all subsequent races are shuffled to the next race date.

2.  iGP is fixed to GMT/UTC so as your local time changes you have to adjust the league race time to compensate. I appreciate you already know this but I make the point for the benefit of new hosts.
Because iGP is fixed I don't believe the UK DST changes will have any effect on you personally, but if you have any UK managers in your league, as of 02:00 Sunday (GMT) they will race 1 hour later. Your local time changing the the following week is when you get affected and this is when you need to edit your league settings.

3. We are informed by Jack and his team that there will be an update before the end of Q1. Seeing as the 6th April is a few days into Q2 I assume it will have been released by then and we'll all be able to dress our drivers like this...

It fried my brain thinking about it Kevin lol

1. Copy that.

2. I was meaning more if i put the time back -1 hour like right now, it should self correct after the 4th April, but yes i can ideally wait until after the 4th. (There will be no more racing until the 6th)

2. Yes, if there are no races between now and 4th April you can adjust now.

The league I host doesn't race on Friday or Saturday so I reset my race time after the race on Thursday.
