The cars on track should be able to take damage (front wing, puncture, suspension, etc.). I think races would be much more interesting with the increased risk of retirement, maybe it would shake up the field a little bit. Also there could be driver mistakes, spins if possible.
Why is there a safety car feature if there are no accidents?
