Hi All,

I'm new to the game and struggling a little bit. My qualifying pace is good and regularly get up to 4th or 5th. However, when it comes to the race i rapidly drop off the pace and my fastest lap is someway off my qualy lap and the times of others. Is there any advice anyone has in their own experieince of getting up and running? Is it all down to the set up and amount of fuel/laps?

Thanks

There are a lot of things going on:
-Driver's health is good, but as a lvl4, stats are not great (and they won't be at that level), especially speed
-Driver is heavy
-In the last race, it loooks like you tried to do 1 stop but  you missed the fuel calc and had a late pit (2 laps to go). Your opponents planned to to run lighter fuel and were faster
-The development of your car is unknown, perhaps it is well behind the others?
-How was your set up? Was your driver saying "feels good" to everything?
-Push level during the race: what was it? too low and cold tires are slow. Too high and hot tires are slower

Thanks for the reply. Yes I think my biggest area of struggle is the pit stops. Development is around 30-40% which is awful but I guess the best I can do at this level. Same with the driver but I hadn't realised he was that heavy, went for a bit of talent in the hope of getting something better out of him. So far he's provided much better feedback on setup and strategy

Train your engineers. As their skill improves, they become quicker and make fewer mistakes.
