tried to collect my daily reward
What happened instead?
my daily reward had always been from Friday ("Day 1") through Thursday ("Day 7"). But yesterday it gave me day 1 reward instead of day 5. Nothing else has changed, such as league seasons or changing drivers or staff or anything. I still count on those free setups on day 7. Just wish I knew what happened.

Has there been a day where you didn't collect your daily reward or didn't log in to claim it? This would cause the daily reward to reset to day 1 on your return and could explain why you aren't on day 7 today.
No i play every day. Even on weekends when there are no races in my league, i log on to do driver training, collect rewards, and watch ads.
Hmm, it is possible that i did it later than usual and did not realize it was after 8pm my local time. Would have been highly unusual to not do it earlier, but i suppose it is possible. Since i cannot confirm or deny when i collected it on monday, i may need to take that as the answer. Sorry.
Earlier today, I was made aware that the developers have been making some changes to the game and this may have lead to your daily rewards problem. I have asked whether it is possible for your daily rewards to be put back to where is should be.
Several other managers and myself are experiencing the same problem. Several managers in my league (https://igpmanager.com/app/p=league&id=7332; I run using a different account) have expressed the same problem on the league wall. I don't know the best way to report this, as my specs are not the same as the others.

I see you claimed the DR today 3 hours ago. Are you experiencing this problem or not?
As mentioned above, there has been a lot of work going on in this area and others this week to close down loopholes. In this case, a handful of people had worked out a way to redeem Daily Rewards multiple times. That exploit was patched, then last night we deducted every single invalid Daily Reward from anyone who had used that exploit, balance is restored! If we disrupted your Daily Reward cycle in the process I can only apologise. It was for a good reason.
