Wat probeerde je te doen?
I did try to fully back off with my driver so that he did not have to make another/extra pitstop.

Wat gebeurde er in plaats daarvan?
My tyres where freezing cold and I had to set my driver on pushing so that my tyres where not frozen anymore. So I had to pit another time to make a extra pitstop.

Bijkomende opmerkingen:
The game did gave my car by the one and only pitstop I was wanting to make, 4 laps lesser fuel then what the plan was. So I had to pit another time because, I had not enough fuel to finish the race.

Under fuelling by 4 laps in Germany suggests an error in your calculations and not a bug in the game.

Please can you tell us how you determined the fuel load for the first stint and confirm that you ran a practice lap BEFORE you set your strategy?

The "estimated" lap calculation uses your practice laps to recommend the fuel load and in my experience tends to be very conservative. There's more chance of over fuelling than under fuelling if you use the recommended fuel load.

One: I did not have a error in my calculations by the fuel for the strategy.

Two: I did set the fuel load for the first stint on 13 laps and I ran a practice lap before I set my strategy.

Just looking through the race data, it does appear to show that the said first stint, was set up correctly (14 laps; Soft)

The 2nd stint fuel level is the unknown. Whether it was human error, which can happen occasionally with managers (by mistakenly counting the total race lap, or even duplicating the first fuel level stint unwittingly onto the 2nd stint), only you will truly know...

In this case, with or without the extra pitstop, your race position (4th) would have been the same (you would gained around -12 seconds, without the stop)

Hi Jamie

You still haven't really explained what you did or how you determined what fuel load you needed for stint 2.

If it really is a bug rather than a mistake on your part the Developers will need much more information.

  1. What was your intended strategy?

  2. What was the fuel consumption in litres per lap from your practice laps?

  3. How much fuel (in litres) did you specify for each stint in your pre-race strategy setup?

  4. How much fuel (in litres) did the car load for each stint? - Information available in the race data sheet

  5. Did you attempt to change your stint 2 fuel load during the first stint?

  6. If yes to Q5, what did you set it to (in litres)?

  7. If yes to Q5, which of the two strategy controls did you use to make the changes?

  8. Was the final stint on SS set before the race or during the race?

I don't know if you tried to use the lap estimation to determine your fuel during the race but if you did you should be very careful because it uses your current fuel consumption to calculate the estimated laps. So if you're on a low push level (soft tyres) but in the next stint you will be on a very high push level (hard tyres) and use the estimated laps instead of calculating the fuel load in litres there is always a risk you are going to be under fuelled. However, this wouldn't result in a 4 lap shortfall so if you can give us more information that will be great.

I am really wanting to give you all that information, but I cannot look back at what the fuel consumption in litres per lap was in practice. I can give you already some information, but if it can I am wanting to give all the answers to your questions all at the same time if it is possible.

OK, so let's focus on stint 2.

Was the fuel loaded at the first pit stop pre-set in your main strategy or did you change it during the first stint? Either way, how many litres did you instruct the game to load?

Then from your post race data sheet tell us how many litres were loaded in the first pit stop.

If these two values are different there's a potential bug to be investigated, if they're the same then there is no bug, the game has loaded the number of litres that were specified but it was four laps short of what was needed to complete the race.

Four laps of Germany is approx. 9 litres

I had not changed the fuel during the first stint, because I had the fuel loaded at the first pit stop pre-set in my main strategy. I had instructed the game to load 45 litres of fuel in the car by the first pit stop. By the first pit stop in the race were loaded 37 litres of fuel in the car, while it had to be 45 litres of fuel.

Hi Jamie,

Could you post a screenshot of the race data for your driver for that race (Loïc Mercier, Germany)?

This would greatly help in establishing the corresponding data, and of course to aid in solving this thread.

If you are not sure how to post a screenshot:

  • Upload the image(s) onto a web/browser photo sharing (ie. Imgur, Postimages.org)

  • Follow the BB Code image instructions on BB Code Guide

Or link the web link for the race data screenshots directly onto a reply (if the above step is not working)

How is the investigation going for the fuel bug which I meanted as a problem/bug in this thread?

Hello,

A support agent was yesterday looking at this issue and no evidences were found. We think that you miss clicked some value or didn't save properly it due to a unknown reason. If this was the case of a bug we would be getting a dozen of reports per hour on the forum.

The support agent will have a another look at this issue if he finds a moment for it, since this is a single report we need to put it at the back of the queue and assist other problems.

Thank you.

Hello,

First of all I apologise for the late reply,
I am very sorry about this.
I have investigated what you reported, from our information it appears that the modification was unsuccessful, this prompted an unscheduled stop to make an extra pitstop.
If the problem recurs, please let us know.

Best Regards
