I thought about this problem, but I'm not able to decide. Is it better to:
1) push hard and do more pitstops, or
2) preserve the tyres and do less pitstops
I have no idea what to do :P

If it were me and i was not to attend the race i would preserve the tyres and do less pitstops, as if you push and do more pitstops, your tyres would overheat and the driver would be very slow. So your extra pitstops would go in vain.
If i was to attend the race, then i would maintain the tyre temps by pushing less(less tyre temp) or pushing more(more tyre temp) during the race to do have a balance tyre temps and be fast without losing too much tyre wear.
