Edit: posted to the wrong forum, can you move to suggestions please?

When I first installed this game, after my first league race. I wanted to continue racing more. It was such a great experience - my first race.

So naturally I clicked "quick race" so that I could race other managers, without points, league or anything like that. Thinking that I would be quickly matched with others for a similar race length event. I was wrong, there were so few laps that it really didn't give me much feedback/learning experience and my car suffered.

As such, now, for me, quick race is just that button I avoid accidentally pressing. I don't think in current form I would ever use it again. It's pretty near to a complete waste of time. Not trying to be mean or anything. But honest about my feedback and that's what I felt after trying it several times and even winning or making podium in a few.

For one the # of laps are too short for competitive fun. I think the term "quick race" is being taken too litteral. I expected at least enough laps to feel like a league race but without the schedule, setups, etc. Just click to race a regular length race. Even if it's short than maybe the "short" setting for league races. But not simply 10 or 11 laps.

Making the races similar length to short, or medium league races would get me (and probably others) to use it more. It adds more carry-over value into one's league races.

However, what about the quick race rewards? We have a daily free reward that we get when clicking from the store. Could not that be integrated into quick race, so that when you race a least one quick race you receive 1 daily reward? It would add incentive to use quick race (if length is fixed). Not just cash, something random just like the daily reward, something random, a part, free setup, engine etc all being extremely rare but possibly prizes.  Or a quick race can simply claim the daily prizes as an alternative way of claiming. Which ever works. But something outher than just some cash every race. Too predictable of an incentive.

Although it's fair that quick race affects driver health (correct me if wrong) I don't think the wear/health of the car parts or engine should be affected. Instead, all managers would basically have a 3rd test car solely for "Quick races" one that we don't see or need to repair etc. This would then allow us to use our reserve driver for quick races as often as his health allows. Again, increasing the use and popularity of quick races.

More incentive for managers to have reserve drivers so we can train and test them in quick races before giving them a seat for our league races.

Just some more of many thoughts I have. Hopefully, not shot down but instead revised and tweaked because I do think in current form quick races do not serve much purpose.

Yes the game should be fun, but it’s also a business. You are asking the devs to give out so much freebies without considering how difficult it is to keep the game running.

Health, parts wearing out are replaced by tokens (even though those are also subsidised and virtually free) which in turn is how the game is able to generate some income to remain online. Frankly with how much free stuff you already get, I’ll be surprised if the game isn’t currently running at a loss.

Yes, length of QR could be increased but I’m totally against the no-wear aspect or more daily rewards as a gift. The cash price and XP already being allocated is more than enough IMO for a QR.

Notice that I ended my post by asking to, tweak my suggestion accordingly. I'm not in the backend, I don't know what they are working with or the chanallges. But...

My responsibility as a community member is to share my feedback in full, when possible and then cummuity and devs can disect, tweak, apply some or ignore all, as they see fit.

As for prizes, I also mentioned just using the existing daily price. I know I forget to go click it on some days. But if quick race was more useful in length, I would collect my 1 daily prize by just completing a single quick race each day as an alternative or replacement.

Whatever devs decide if they find any of this as useful feedback. A suggestion can never be the final draft of anything.

Yes, the current QRs are not very attractive for actual racing. The private races could be exchanged for custom races leading to a list similar to spectating showing races waiting for managers and creating such a race allows to set track, distance and race speed, and also as private race.

The test car sounds nice but too complicated for those means. Maybe instead of wearing the car let the (Custom) QRs have a direct token fee, daily rewards could include giving out free one though.

PS: Thread moved as asked.

The "test" car isn't an actual car being added. It just means that when you participate in quick races it does not impact the wear on your "2 race cars" because they are not used. So it's an unseen 3rd car is what I'm getting at.

This is all adjustable and/or optional but it would encourage/improve activity levels if you are not in effect touching your race cars in Quick Race. As a result, it would encourage more managers to keep reserve drivers just for quick races as their health would be rightfully impacted. Tweaked a bit, quick racing can become addictive enough to increase the overall # of active manager sessions, which will also benefit league racing as well.

Allowing us a chance to get used to our reserve driver(s) in longer-length races that are quick to match because of increased activity. It should pay for itself because more managers would use quick race, retain more drivers, etc. (assuming the max is 2 or 3 reserves) Tweaks are welcomed, and IMO necessary.

Interesting I’ve never seen quick races as something other than an option for those not interested in joining a league or a way to test out tyre temps at different push leveks before your actual race.

If I understand them correctly you aren’t matched with drivers of similar standard, but everyone is considered to be level 10?

I’ve never really bothered with them (when I have U’ve never raced to win) and don’t think they add any value to the game; at least from my perspective and understand others will like them.

Most players who want to race regularly have multiple accounts across a number of leagues.  (Posted from my alt account)
