Skipped pit stop twice(!)

Today one of my drivers skipped 2 pit stops in a row and while the first one was still explainable as there had been about the amount of fuel needed for an extra lap left before approaching the pit entry, the second time it was a total disaster and there was no visible reasons for that to happen.

He just skipped the pit and continued with 0 fuel left, then retired a few corners after. I tried to force him to pit, but it was already too late as I tapped on the ‘pit’ button just a few meters after the actual pit entry. The bug happened at the Austrian gp.

Did you press the pit button yourself before the game would? if so, when the game goes to activate the pit normally it cancels the pit stop instead of leaving it as it is

I may remember it wrong, but I thought I could only tap it once before it was already too late, at the very beginning of the lap when I saw him not pitting at the end of the previous lap. So if it was just before or at the same time the game triggers the ‘auto-pit’ it could have been the cause. But the only tap I’m absolutely sure about is the ‘late’ one. So that’s why I’m so frustrated.
