If you join a new league do you automatically start in the Rookie League or do you start in the elite or pro league based on your ratings?

You stay in tier you are in now, unless you are in the relegation zone of that tier which will place you one lower..

this is such a bad system. I recently joined igp and finished my first season in the top 3. Sounds great, especially since there were 32 drivers in the league, however there would only be 6 of us racing so getting into the 'pro' tier was too easy. After the season finished I moved to another league thinking I'd start in the Rookie league but instead I was automatically promoted to the pro tier with managers with much more experience than myself where I don't stand a chance. I now have to wait until the end of this season to be relegated back into the Rookie class. There needs to be an option at least to start in the Rookie class

Hi James
In the league you've joined you won't get relegated at the end of the season as there aren't enough teams unless some more players join.
You have 2 options to return to rookie status immediately afaik, either reset your team or start a new one.
It seems like a bad system at first glance but it's actually to protect new players and prevent experienced teams 'rookie bashing'
