Since when are mods allowed to go onto other league walls advertising their own league without the host permission. I was not sent any mail asking if he could do this
League wall
I cant even deleted it off the wall as a mod put it there. this is poor.

I agree, this is not ok.

I like how you pushed his post down, creative solution.

AFAIK, mods don’t need permission from a host to post on the league wall. The league doesn’t belong to the host, it belongs to the players and iGP.

I see how posting without prior ‘notice’ might rub a host the wrong way, in his defence he is not recruiting your players into his league but rather inviting your ‘whole’ league to the competition.

Hi Taz

Mods don't  need permission to post on league walls but IMO this privilege should only be used in circumstances where it is necessary to communicate with all members of a league to help resolve an issue that is specific to the league in which the post is made.

Facundo is a good guy and does a lot to help support the game and organises events which benefit many leagues and members of the iGP community.

On this occasion Facundo should have invited you as the league host to take part in the event. Anyway, the posts which offended you have been removed.

Please accept my apologies on behalf of the Mod team.

Thanks for removing it.

Yes Mods do not need permission to post on league walls, BUT Mods should not be allowed to advertise their own comps no matter how noble it is with out at least asking the Host if they can. If a normal player did this it would be frowned on. But hey he is a good guy so that makes it all good.

We agree on that, Taz, and that is what Kevin meant. Mods are allowed to post on league walls, but only for mod-related things. Not for promotional activities, unless they have agreement from the host.

Everyone makes mistakes, even good guys who do a lot for iGP 😉

Pardon me for being late to this conversation (As it has already being resolved), but I would like to point out that the advertisement of the competition that Facundo mentions is not a poaching exercise.
Interliga de Campeones is in fact a league in which members from different leagues compete in teams of 3 against managers from other leagues in a competition once every Saturday. It only uses pre-made accounts provided by Facundo, and it would serve to bring your managers closer together as they work as a team, rather than pulling them away from the league.
I believe this was his way of contacting you, in order to invite you to assemble a team if you wanted to compete in this competition. Of course it would have been better for him to contact you directly, but when constantly contacting many leagues it is simpler to post onto league walls rather than seeking out the host, who may not check their in-game mails (particularly if it is an non-active account simply for admin). His intention was never to poach individuals, only to invite your league as a whole (led by you) to this competition

Maybe if he started his message saying “we invite this wonderful league to an intra-league event with multiple high profile leagues taking part” it would have been clearer what the intention was. I read Facundo is a great guy so I assume it’s a language barrier thing.
