How long do you think S-SOFT, SOFT and MEDIUM tyres would last on the Bahrain iGP circuit with the following conditions?
Sunny
23°C, Wind: NE at 14 mph, Humidity: 78%

Hi, welcome to the game! I think at 23 degrees, it will be ideal to run the medium compound, considering this is your first race.

I recommend spending your first season operating conservatively in your tyre selections so that you can learn from the other managers and arrive at your own conclusions and preferences.

I would concur from personal experince from this season's GB race. I ran softs at 15 but had to keep it cool on low push levels. And super soft runners couldn't set enough laps before they wore out to make them viable. Mediums would be the way to go if you're live managing.

Blunion is our Hamiltion in the league I race in, so take his word as solid gold in value :P

So, do you guys think a good strategy would be
SOFT (Q Tyres)
MEDIUM
MEDIUM

for a 2 stopper?

Thanks for all your help!

I would say on a 50% race a 3 stopper (SS,S,S,SS) but to make it work you need to know the fuel in each stint as if you over fuel its wasted.

True the percantage of the race is key. Being it was a 50%er for me. I ran a two stop S,S,S. Each stint I wore the tires down to about 22-25%. This method won my race from a 6th place starting position. If it's 100% it's a who different ballgame.

before you get started, make sure you only hire 2 drivers, that's 2 drivers and not 3 or 4 ;)

but she's in a 1 driver league, so she needs to make a choice of her favourite driver, quickly ;)

That may indeed be a good strategy, qualifying on soft compound and then finishing the race on medium compound. Also, at the current time, nobody is using hard tyres, even in extremely hot temperatures. So avoid using hard compound!

good one! haha

Thank you everyone for your help! The Medium compound was definitely the quickest tyre.

I ran a S-M-M strategy, and got 3rd position in qualifying and worked up to 2nd in the race, and even got the fastest lap!
