My suggestion is born after reading this thread on the italian subforum: https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread_1/47449#256360

If you enable the advanced strategy when the weather is sunny during qualifying but it's rainy at the beginning of the race, your car will qualify on slick tyres but on the grid it will use intermediate tyres.

So I quote myself (in english):
------
In my opinion this is not right. Once qualifying is done, either everyone changes their tires or nobody changes them. It is unfair to give this advantage to those who enable advanced strategy. I know we are talking about a single click but so the AI makes its changes at the last second and those who follow the live races do not.

You should take the risk of going for the qualification or the first stint. So it's not fair to me.
------

Then I want to ask the igp to take one of three countermeasures:
1) Players can change on the grid which tyres (but not the fuel quantity) for first stint before the race.
2) AI should be activated during qualifying and nobody (humans and AI) can use a different tyre set than the one used to qualify.
3) Update the game rules and explain how the advanced strategy is an advantage over those who don't enable it. (the least preferred countermeasure...)

Thank you all for your effort in improving the game!

I think AS should be left alone, in the case player cannot attend race. That said, I don’t agree to give the opportunity to change tyres before start: one of the good things in this game is that you should think carefully about which compound to use in first stint in order to have a good qualify session and a acceptable amount of laps before first pit.
If some player is not aware of this feature then is his own fault and should read the guide.

I'm pretty sure you can change your tires before the race if it rains. I discovered this myself maybe a month ago and it's been a real blessing, particularly in races where the race has either picked up or dropped since qualifying.

If you look at M. Kallis you'll see qualification on the intermediate tires before starting the race on wets. This is because the rain had picked up and so I changed tires. Wrong call, but that was no advanced strategy.

J. Robinson did a similar thing in this race.

All you have to do is show up early enough to do this (before the race starts).
